Welcome to Type III Bus Driver Training

For this course, you will watch a 20-minute presentation and take a short quiz. Topics include types of buses, driver requirements, new legislation, student conduct, students with special needs, rules of the road, loading and unloading, seat belts, pre-trip inspection, required safety equipment and child safety check. This information is for the safe operation of Type III school buses.The information is from the Minnesota School Bus Operators Association, Department of Public Safety, Minnesota State Patrol, and Minnesota Department of Education. Contact your district or company for specific policies and procedures you should follow regarding Type III school bus operation.To get started please click this link to be directed to the presentation. You can view the presentation and take the test at anytime of the day or night. The test will be processed during normal business hours.Cost is only $12 per driver**Be sure to fill out your email address and school name/number on the quiz form - the certificate will be emailed during business hours.**
