Regional Spelling Bee
-
Watch your students soar to new heights of confidence and academic excellence as they participate in the spelling bee! This engaging event helps students expand their vocabulary, promote literacy, and sharpen their comprehension skills. Along the way, participants develop effective study habits and learn the value of working towards their goals. The Spelling Bee is more than just a competition—it's a celebration of knowledge and personal growth! The Spelling Bee is a series of spelling contests starting with a classroom bee, then a school-building bee, and finally the district-level bee. The champion from your local district bee will advance to the Regional Bee in Marshall. The regional bee champion will then advance to compete at the 2025-2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC with an all-expenses paid trip for the champion and one adult.
All nine Minnesota Service Cooperatives have collaborated as one regional partner. This allows Minnesota to send NINE Regional Bee Champions to the Scripps National Spelling Bee compared to the five in previous years. We are excited to give more Minnesota students theopportunity to represent our state and compete with other kids around the US.
A special "thank you" to those who helped make the Spelling Bee happen: SWWC, Minnesota Service Cooperatives, Kraus-Anderson, ISC, Lathrop GPM, Medica, ORB Management, WEX, a prize donor Merriam-Webster and Encyclopedia Britannica.
