SWWC Member Contracts: Members received their 2024-25 contracts in late January (thanks Tegan and team for your work in getting these out!). Contracts are due back April 1. We’ll be communicating with the appropriate teams as these contracts come in and services are renewed. 2024 Minnesota Legislative Session Kick Off: The legislature reconvened Monday, February 12. This is not a budget year for the legislature, so we’re not expecting a lot of funding changes or updates. However, there are some specific bills that impact the agency, our districts, and our students that we hope to get clarification on.

New SWWC Board Members: Our Board of Directors has some new faces in 2024. Ben Bothun (Lac qui Parle County), Becky Foster (Westbrook-Walnut Grove Schools), Carla Olson (KMS Schools), Amanda Lecy (YME Schools) and Becky Paluch (Ivanhoe Public Schools) are new to the Board. If you work with any of these leaders and districts, be sure to welcome them to the Board! Check out all Board members here.

The READY Clinic Fundraising: As you may have heard, SWWC’s The READY Clinic is fundraising to make up for a budget deficit. The deficit is caused mostly by Medicaid’s changes in reimbursement. SWWC is working with community donors to raise money to continue paying for these important services. Learn more about the fundraising campaign here.

Town Hall March 20: We're having an all-staff virtual town hall on March 20. All staff are expected to attend virtually. We'll go over updates and news on the coop, highlight programs/services, and have time for some Q&A.  If you would like to submit a question or topic for discussion, you can do so anonymously here.
