Logo Use
-
Use the SWWC logo wherever and whenever possible because it helps build brand recognition. Use the logo files provided on the Employee Portal.
Remember:- Never produce your own logo or allow vendors to produce or rebuild the SWWC logo for projects you are coordinating.
- The only time it is ok to remove the text above and below the gray lines is when the logo is used on promotional materials and SWWC clothing.
- Do not change the location of the text above and below the gray lines.
- Don't change the color or fonts.
- Don't stretch or distort the logo.
JPG vs PNG
-
JPG:
- Good option for photographs
- Bad option for logos
- Use when creating a document for print
PNG:- Designed for use on web pages
- Excellent choice when you want a transparent background
- Good option for logos
Department Logos
-
To maintain the continuity and strength of the SWWC brand, standards have been set for the development of department-level logos.
SWWC department logos should be used in full-color (except in 1-color applications where the approved B/W or reverse options can be used). The department name will appear in PMS 289 (blue). The department name will be the same size font in all cases and can be stacked if a department name is particularly long, and/or to create horizontal and vertical versions of the logo.
The Communications Office will provide logos to departments to ensure that all department-level logos are created consistently. Always use the digital files provided. Do not allow vendors (printers and graphic designers) to produce their own versions of the logo, and do not create your own department logos. Department-level logos can be used on program materials specific to that department including correspondence, printed and promotional materials, signage, advertising and social media.
Associated Logos
-
The SWWC logo will often be used in conjunction with the logos of associated conferences, competitions and partnerships.
When used as the secondary logo, the SWWC logo should appear in grayscale so it does not detract from the primary associated logo.
If program-specific letterhead is used, the full-color associated logo should appear in the top left corner of the page. The secondary, grayscale SWWC logo should appear in the lower right corner of the page. The SWWC positioning statement (Education & Administrative Services) should appear centered under the solid color bar at the bottom of the page.
