Jennifer Besser, Elementary K-6

Jennifer and her husband have one dog named Beretta. She enjoys photography, hunting, fishing, kayaking, nature and health/fitness. Prior to SWWC, she worked as an elementary teacher and a youth development coordinator. Jennifer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Bemidji State University.

Marissa Erdman, Social Studies

Marissa and her husband (Randy) have 4 children that keep them very busy. As a family they love to stay active by camping, exploring state parks, playing any sport, and conquering the next cool playground. A huge passion of hers is soccer. In her spare time, you can find her playing or coaching her kids’ teams. Since both Marissa and her husband attended NDSU, her household bleeds Green and Gold, GO BISON! 

Matt Fjerkenstad, Science

Matt and his wife, Gretchen, have four boys who keep them pretty active each day. When Matt isn't teaching, he enjoys playing a few musical instruments and singing at church, fixing things/house projects, working out at the gym, being active outdoors, and watching basketball and tennis with his family. 

Isabelle Morris, Spanish/French

Bienvenidos a la clase de Español! Bienvenus a la classe de francais! Sra/Mme Isabelle Morris is originally from the South of France and lived in Spain for two years before moving to the US and completing a degree in Spanish. She taught French and Spanish for 26 years in San Antonio, and then moved to Minnesota. She has two adult children and a Belgian Shepherd dog. She loves the outdoors, and running, road biking, hiking, traveling and cooking.

Eric Nelson, Math and Electives

Eric has been teaching for over 24 years. When he isn't teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife Andrea and their dog Percy.  Eric is an avid runner and devoted fan of Minnesota sports.

Sarah Neu, Language Arts and Student Success Coach

Sarah and her husband have two daughters and a miniature schnauzer, Klaus. Their favorite thing to do is to go camping and spend time outside. She also likes to read, kayak, go for walks, and take photos. Sarah has a Bachelor's Degree in English and Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus, and received her teaching license in 5-12 communication arts/literature from Minnesota State Mankato, where she is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching.
