One of the initial recommendations of the Facility Task Force was to relocate administrative office space into member school district facilities or consolidate with current SWWC Educational Learning Center facilities.
Montevideo: The office space in downtown Montevideo was vacated the summer of 2017 and the special education administrative staff were relocated to space in the Montevideo School District.
Windom: The office space leased on N. Hwy 71 was vacated the summer of 2017 and the special education administrative staff were relocated to both ELC - Windom and space within the Windom School District. Currently two programs are located off-site:
- The ALC moved to the BARC Building to open up three classrooms at the Winfair school building for ELC - Windom expansion.
- The Windom Data Center remains at the N. Hwy 71 location.
Marshall: SWWC currently leases space in the Market Street Mall for its main office.
- One program, Project SEARCH, is located on the campus of Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center.
Pipestone: The Pipestone location leased by SWWC houses both ELC - Pipestone and special education/administrative staff.
Willmar: The special education administrative staff are currently leases space in the WEAC Building, which also houses the Willmar Public Schools District Office.
