The primary components of the Project SEARCH-Sanford program include:

- Daily employability skills classes
- 3-4 different job internship rotations throughout the year
- Constructive evaluations and feedback from Sanford supervisor and program staff
- An environment that accommodates the students needs
- Daily living skills training
- Job placement assistance at the end of the Project SEARCH experience
- College endorsed completion certificate for successful participation of the program
