08. Parent Notification and Involvement
The READ Act legislation requires districts to notify the parents of each student in grade K-3 who are not reading at or above grade level.

- Student's reading proficiency level as measured by the MDE approved screener
- Reading related services currently being provided to the student
- Strategies parents/families can use at home in helping their student succeed
