New School Administrators Welcomed at SWWC

SWWC welcomed 14 new school administrators, including superintendents and principals, to the Marshall office on August 14 for an opportunity to learn more about the programs, services and people available to support them throughout the school year.

Rather than spending the morning listening to presentations, administrators participated in a little “speed dating - SWWC style!” During a series of quick, small-group conversations, participants rotated among SWWC staff representing different service areas. Each stop provided an opportunity to learn about available resources, ask questions and, most importantly, begin building relationships with the people they may work with throughout the year.

The fast-paced format gave the new superintendents and principals a broad introduction to SWWC while keeping the conversations informal and interactive. It also gave SWWC staff a chance to learn more about each administrator, their district and the opportunities and challenges they may encounter in their new roles.

The New School Administrator Meeting is one part of SWWC’s ongoing efforts to connect with and support member school leaders. We look forward to continuing these conversations throughout the year and helping our newest administrators discover all the ways SWWC can be a resource and partner.
