The Region 6 & 8 Low Incidence Projects are pleased to offer a series of Special Education Licensure via Portfolio Cohort Work Sessions for educators who have been approved by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) to pursue special education licensure through the Licensure via Portfolio pathway.

These full-day networking and work sessions are designed to provide ongoing support as participants develop and prepare their required portfolio(s) for submission to PELSB. Sessions will provide dedicated work time, opportunities to ask questions and problem-solve, guidance and support from regional special education leaders, and collaboration with other educators working through the licensure via portfolio process.

Participants are encouraged to bring their portfolio materials and use each session to organize evidence, reflect on required competencies, develop portfolio components, and make consistent progress toward submission.

Registration: Participants must first be approved by PELSB to pursue licensure via portfolio. Once approved, contact Cassandra Gohman at cassandra.gohman@swwc.org  to register for the cohort work sessions.
